President Ali Bongo warmly welcomed in Lambaréné – AGP

LAMBARENÉ, May 19, 2023 (AGP) – The President of the Republic, Ali Bongo Ondimba, was warmly welcomed this Friday in Lambaréné, the provincial capital of Moyen-Ogooué (Centre), as part of a tour he is carrying out in this province until Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Upon his arrival, the Gabonese president was welcomed by the local political and administrative authorities, headed by the provincial governor, Abdul Razzak Guy Kambongo. The Head of State then had the right to review the defense and security forces. Greetings from the populations and walkabouts followed this protocol step.

It must be said that Lambaréné airport was full this Friday, with people from all over the city, to give a welcome worthy of the name to the First Authority of the country.

The populations of the neighboring provinces were not on the sidelines of this great meeting, and several of them made the trip to Lambaréné.

The warmth of the welcome was perceptible through the songs and dances of the land and other communities living in Moyen-Ogooué.

The Head of State then went respectively to the Lambaréné Medical Research Center (Cermel), to the Albert Schweizert Hospital, then to the city’s annex stadium.

His journey continued with the inauguration of the Adouma market, located in the first district of Lambaréné. An infrastructure for women traders.

The President of the Republic finally had discussions with several segments of the population. Opportunity for young people to submit their grievances to the Head of State, in particular the problem of human-wildlife conflict, youth unemployment and the question of untimely load shedding in the city of Grand Blanc.

This Saturday, May 20, Ali Bongo Ondimba will continue his journey to Bifoun and Ndjolé, in the department of Abanga-Bigne.
