Russian athletes admitted to international competitions should not boycott tournaments. Such an opinion in conversation with “RIA Novosti” announced by the Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin.

“It is never necessary to boycott anything at all, it is necessary to continue the dialogue with international sports organizations and with the obligatory condition of protecting the interests of our athletes,” Matytsin said.

The ROC will announce recommendations for participation in tournaments on the terms of the IOC on May 25

On March 28, the IOC recommended that Russian and Belarusian athletes be admitted to international competitions under a neutral flag. These recommendations do not apply to athletes participating in team sports, as well as those athletes who actively support the special operation in Ukraine and are related to the armies of the two countries and other law enforcement agencies. The decision on the admission of athletes will be made by the international federations.
