This Thursday, May 18, around 10:45 a.m. on the RD500, at a place called Pinatelle near the town of Saint-Pal-de-Mons, an accident involving a single motorcycle occurred. The pilot slid in a turn before falling to the ground. The 21-year-old man was rushed to hospital in Firminy. Conscious, he has a major fracture in the femur and was taken to Firminy hospital for surgery overnight. The rescue operation required the intervention of 12 firefighters.

Road exit at Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid

This Friday, May 19, around 00:35 a.m., on the D44 between Chavanon and the Chazeau bridge in the town of Monistrol-sur-Loire, a 22-year-old driver lost control of his car at the exit of a curve on the left , before finishing his race and coming to rest on the roof, in the lane opposite to his direction of traffic. The victim got out of his vehicle alone. He only suffers from a slight wound on his left elbow and was nevertheless transported to Firminy hospital for additional examinations.

Driver falls asleep at the wheel and rolls over

Also this Friday at 5:55 a.m., on the D902, near Polignac, the driver, a 20-year-old man who was leaving work, fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of his vehicle. After rolling over, the vehicle stops in the ditch and the driver manages to get out before help arrives. He has minor injuries, but complains of shin pain. The latter was transported to the CH Emile Roux du Puy for a control examination.
