Florent Mollet Reflects on Reunion with Former Club Montpellier Hérault

Florent Mollet is the Nantes player who appeared in front of the press to discuss the weekend’s match against a club he knows well, Montpellier Hérault. West France transcribes the memories of the player:

“We were a playful team. We had two monsters in front (Laborde and Delort, editor’s note) who piled up the goals, the assists. A player like Teji Savanier was also exceptional. The last year, I shifted to the right side to give him room to express himself. We all put our ego aside. It was in Montpellier that I made a name for myself in L1. I managed to be decisive. We had three seasons in the top seven. It was a very positive passage. »

And inevitably, for the former Pailladin, this reunion will be very symbolic:

“It’s always special. I spent four wonderful years there which will remain engraved. With ups and downs but that’s part of the game. It’s nice to see a lot of players and a staff that I met. I know Joris Chotard, Teji Savanier, Jordan Ferri, Mamadou Sakho, Stephy Mavididi, Pedro Mendes, Benji Lecomte with whom I played during my first year in Montpellier, I certainly forget some… I’m happy to see them again. We will be friends outside but, on the ground, we will be enemies in quotation marks. We have a game to win. »
