“Positive Intonation for Major Indices and Recovery in Oil Sector Stocks on Technical Deadline Day”

Positive intonation for the major indices of Borsa Italiana and for the main European financial centres. Today is the day of technical deadlines; the option contracts on shares and indices dated May 2023 have come to an end.

At 10.15 the FTSEMib gained 0.69% to 27,424 points, while the FTSE Italia All Share was up 0.66%. Plus sign for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (+0.43%) and for the FTSE Italia Star (+0,64%).

Il bitcoin it is back below $27,000 (about 25,000 euros).

Lo spread Btp-Bund over 185 points was confirmed, with the yield on the 10-year BTP standing at 4.3%.

L’euro it remains below 1.08 dollars.

Sales on banking sector stocks prevail.

BPER Bank records a fall of 1.45% to 2.655 euros. The bank announced that it had sold a portfolio of UTPs for a collectible value of approximately 430 million euro. Following the transaction, the pro-forma gross NPE ratio of BPER Banca, compared to the data as at 31 March 2023, is estimated at around 2.6% (net NPE ratio 1.1%).

Stocks in the oil sector are recoveringafter the price of crude oil in New York (contract expiring in June 2023) exceeded 72 dollars a barrel.

ENI records an increase of 1.14%. Well too Saipem (+2,04%) e Tenaris (+1,55%).

At MidCap featured Juventus FC (-0,55% a 0,2874 euro). The Juventus club was eliminated by Sevilla in the semi-finals of the Europa League, after losing 2-1 after extra time.

Positive trend for Fincantieri (+0,88% a 0,571 euro). The company announced that the US Department of Defense has awarded the US subsidiary, Marinette Marine, the contract for the construction of the fourth frigate of the “Constellation” class, destined for the US Navy. The contract is worth approximately $526 million.

Prisms can’t get the price. Borsa Italiana has communicated that from 19 May 2023 and until further communication on the company’s ordinary shares, the placing of orders without a price limit (orders at best) will not be allowed.
