“Boxing Club Academy’s Young Fighters Win Grand Est Championships”

The Grand Est educational boxing championships took place at the Creps (Centre for resources, expertise and sports performance) in Nancy, with one part at the departmental level and the other at the regional level. The Boxing Club Academy of Freyming-Merlebach had engaged four young boxers there, who all shone in their respective categories. On the chick side, Evan Flauss and Rayan Ait Abaid had to go through the qualifications in the semi-finals, facing “opponents from serious clubs like Villerupt or Dombasle”, explains the president and coach, Yannick Kouidri. At the end, two victories on points for fights which take place in three rounds of one minute. Ditto in the final, where the game was not necessarily won against the Strasbourg boxers of Corona. Here again, the two young people won, becoming champions of the Grand Est. And there is Manel Ezzaitouni, the youngest, who, for lack of a fighter, went directly to the final and who also won the title of Grand Est champion. Also note another title, but in Departmental, that of Yanis El Medah. A pride for the president, but also for their coach, Billal Fellah. For young people, it was the last big meeting, the season being over, but they will have the opportunity to take the gloves again soon during galas.
