“7.7-Magnitude Earthquake Triggers Tsunami Warning in New Caledonia”

Authorities announced that a tsunami warning was issued after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck southeast of the Loyalty Islands in New Caledonia.

And the security forces evacuated the coast of New Caledonia after warning of a tsunami, according to the Civil Defense Authority.

The US Geological Survey said the quake had a depth of 10 km.
