Nogales, son
Seeking to protect those who are in charge of garbage collection, the Municipal Health Directorate took a health and vaccination day to Public Services this Thursday for employees of this agency.
Within the vaccines, the main one for the collectors was hepatitis, since having contact with the waste of so many people, it is important that they have a vaccination scheme that protects them from any virus or disease. In addition, they were given blood pressure checks, rapid tests for various diseases, and hepatitis, influenza, and tetanus vaccines.
“We are working in coordination with the director Jesús Soto to bring a
health journey that I had been waiting for a long time because we have to protect our compañeros, the boys who work collecting garbage, the waste from Nogales, it is very important that they are protected, especially with the hepatitis B vaccine, we have to give them a reinforcement, the tetanus vaccine as well and the influenza vaccine and CAPACIT also came to do the rapid test for hepatitis C, because the majority of the population are not careful even if we have some disease to put even a bow so they know that this garbage it is contaminated and that it is up to us to protect them,” said Dora Alicia Ruelas Armenta, director of Municipal Health.
The health director Dora Alicia Ruelas explained that this campaign had been planned in advance and was one of the most anticipated since it is extremely important that workers have access to preventive medical services.
