Ford Motor Company is recalling 422,000 SUVs in the United States due to a possible image processing unit failure, which would prevent rear-view camera images from being displayed.
The company had previously withdrawn another group of cars earlier this year, without being able to solve the problem, according to US media.
The recall includes 2020-2023 Lincoln Explorer and Aviator models, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair models equipped with a 360-degree camera.
The company had withdrawn cars from its production for the same reason in 2021 and 2023. Last year, Ford modified its image processing unit software to try to fix the problem.
Ford said, Thursday, that it is “working with suppliers to determine the root cause of the problem and provide the appropriate solution as soon as possible.”

According to the network, Ford withdrew 462,000 cars last January from all over the world due to the same problem, including 382,000 cars from the United States, after reports of 17 minor accidents due to the problem.
