The British telephony group BT (British Telecom) has announced drastic cuts: up to 55,000 jobs will be eliminated between now and 2030. The company is thus aiming for a strong revision of internal costs through a reduction in the workforce, as stated by the ‘Chief Executive Officer Philip Jansen. The British giant has been engaged in a vast reorganization for some time. Expected layoffs account for 42% of the overall workforce.
