Alza launched a “mega sale” last week and has one of the most interesting discounts on a gaming monitor Philips 32M1N5500VSwhich she discounted by 38% to 5990 CZK. In other stores, it costs from 8,500 CZK, with similar equipment you cannot currently buy anything better in the Czech Republic.
Philips deployed a 32″ VA panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 px. This technology will not have as faithful colors as IPS, but it will be more suitable for games and movies thanks to deeper blacks. Players will also appreciate the frequency of 165 Hz (144 Hz for HDMI), thanks to FreeSync can be tuned to the frame rate of games, ranging from 48 Hz. The response is 4 ms (GtG) or 1 ms (MPRT).
Compared to cheaper monitors with the same resolution and frequency above 100 Hz, Philips also has a higher brightness of up to 550 nits, which will be useful for better HDR. The four-port USB hub (with USB 3.0 support) and four input connectors are also above standard: two DisplayPorts 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0. On the monitor we also find a pair of 5W speakers supplemented with an output for headphones.
The stand even has a holder for headphones at the back, but as such it is only basic with the possibility of tilting. There is no height adjustment or rotation option. Thanks to the VESA mount, it is possible to buy an alternative one. The manufacturer provides a three-year warranty for the monitor.
