Loyal VIviewers have recently seen Rutger Castricum regularly joining the regular trio. From the media land there was the necessary comment on his performances: the PowNed icon would have a fake smile and make too much mucus at Johan Derksen. Castricum responded last night Inside today on the criticism.
Television expert and American connoisseur Victor Vlam said in the podcast From Communiqué’s that he is green and yellow annoyed at Castricum. In fact, he felt the need to throw tomatoes at his television. “That fake smile is really terrible of him. It’s exaggerated, it’s high. It’s that you think: stop it. And what it comes from is that he really just wants to lick himself in with Johan Derksen. He is mucusing a lot. Get this: he has argued that Johan Derksen should receive a ribbon.”
Storyboss Guido den Aantrekker and columnist Jan Dijkgraaf previously made mincemeat of the VIperformances by Castricum. “I’m dropping off tonight at Today Inside. Zero chemistry there,” tweeted Den Aantrekker. “Really adds zero except some fake laughter at itself.” Dijkgraaf said in the podcast Bassie and Jan Mosque that Castricum ‘just neighs’ and has ‘no content’.

Rutger Castricum responds to criticism in Today Inside
“You crawl Johan too much up his ass, I read everywhere,” starts presenter Wilfred Genee in the latest episode. “What’s wrong with that?” Derksen wonders. “Doesn’t seem too bad to me either,” the direct object responds. Genee summarizes that according to critics Castricum would laugh too hard and would like it too much. He does not hide that himself either. “I drive here with a smile and I also drive away with a smile.” Derksen, jokingly: “I wish I had that too” Castricum has to laugh at this. “Oh no, I can’t laugh. I didn’t like this,” he corrects himself. “No, I think it is remarkable with programs and talk shows, there is usually not much laughter there. But I’ve always been a very big fan of this program and now I’m in it. So then I can’t suppress a laugh every now and then. And that difficult smile that I have, because that’s what it’s all about, I’ve had it for 43 years. My friends joke about that too.”
Derksen responds with a joke. “There is one more problem, I just explained that to him. That boy is 43 years old and at that age is at his top in the top program of the Netherlands. Then your career is basically over.” Genee: “You should actually peak a bit à la Albert Verlinde at the end of your career, then you should come here.” Castricum: “You actually asked me too early, that’s what it comes down to.” Derksen: “Then the need must have been very high here.”
