“Customers boarding through the Face Recognition Gate no longer need to show their KTP or proof of printed tickets. To be able to enjoy this facility, customers only need to register once or register, which is valid onwards, including when they are at other stations that already have facilities. face recognation boarding gate,” said Eva in her statement, Wednesday (17/5/2023).



At Gambir Station, the registration process can be done at the Check In Counter (CIC) machine or through a special service officer who is in the south hall area. The registration process cannot be represented and it is enough to bring the e-KTP by sticking it on the reader device. Then put the right or left index finger on the scanner in the e-KTP reader.

“If you have already registered, customers no longer need to print boarding passes. Customers can go directly to face recognition boarding gate if the time for boarding can already be done. Point your face at the scanner and if the ticket data, identity and other requirements are correct, the gate will automatically open,” he said.

Furthermore, Eva said the process of scanning the customer’s face and verifying all data stored in the KAI system was very fast. So that it will greatly facilitate customers and expedite the queue during the boarding process.

Apart from Gambir Station, this technology has also been installed at Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya Gubeng, Malang and Solo Balapan Stations.

“Therefore, train customers who have used similar services at these stations do not need to register again at Gambir Station,” he said.
