“PlayStation Showcase 2022: Upcoming Games for PS5 and PS VR2, New Brand and Hardware Rumors”

It is here! Long awaited PlayStation Showcase is officially announced! Sony will show the upcoming games for PS5 and PS VR2 on Wednesday 24/05 of this year at 22:00 our time.

“The presentation will last just over an hour and will focus on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios around the world,” reported by Sony.

We can expect to see several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as charming games from third-party partners and independent developers.

Sony is also looking for a new brand.

Did you notice? Sony didn’t mention the PS4so it looks like with the PS5 approaching 40 million units sold, the previous generation is already being left out.

Various insiders and journalists mentioned before the official PlayStation Showcase announcement that this presentation is supposed to be the start of the second stage of the life of the PlayStation 5 console. Sony has been secretive about this year so far and has only announced Spider-Mana 2 autumn.

So what will we see at PS Showcase straight from PlayStation Studios? It is a certainty in my opinion independent multiplayer action set in the world of The Last of Us by Naughty Dog. The rest is quite shrouded, but the new brand could well be a project from the Bend studio, it is supposed to include multiplayer and build on the open world systems of Days Gone.

In the case of partners, it is easier. Here we write Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Stellar Blade, Baldur’s Gate III, Death Stranding 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake and, last but not least, Rise of the Ronin.

The hardware has long been speculated about a new model PS5 with removable drive a handheld with work designation Q Litewhich is supposed to be intended for streaming games from the cloud.

Other older PC games are also considered. Sucker Punch’s long-awaited samurai action Ghost of Tsushima might finally arrive to join Horizon Zero Dawn, Marvel’s Spider-Man, The Last of Us Part 1, Days Gone and other Sony games on PC. Let’s just hope the port is optimized this time.
