The Natural Hazards Department (SDANA) presents the traveling exhibition “Rendez-vous au bord du Rhône”. It highlights the role that the river and its banks can play in improving the Valais territory’s ability to adapt to future challenges, in particular climate change.
With the 3rd correction of the Rhône, a new landscape will take shape in the plain, enhanced by public spaces and soft mobility routes. The Rhône will no longer be just the backbone of the valley’s hydrographic network.
The river and its banks will become a more important corridor for biodiversity as well as a more attractive space for leisure and relaxation, while taking into account the preservation of agricultural land.
