Franceville, May 17, 2023 (AGP) – On the occasion of the World Day of Evangelization, commemorated on May 28, the church of the Christian Alliance of Moanda center, in the province of Haut-Ogooué, mobilized since the beginning of May, in order to deploy on the ground to evangelize and win souls to God.
Celebrated around the world on the last Saturday of May, World Evangelism Day has mobilized the Christian Alliance Church of Moanda Center since the beginning of the month. Indeed, a strong mobilization of the said church is observed on the ground. Also, for four weeks, four themes will be highlighted, including one theme per week, namely: “Prayer”, “Care”, “Share”, “Proclaim”.
For Reverend André Gbamou, local pastor of the Moanda Center church, this month of May is a special month. Because the whole church is mobilizing to invest in what the Bible calls the supreme order, that “to go and make disciples of all nations».
‘’As for the local church in Moanda centre, we are at the end of the second week. And when we do the mid-term review, we rejoice that the job is well done. The faithful understood the need to share the good news. We have divided the week, so that each department has one day in the week to mobilize. Therefore, Monday is the worship department. Tuesday is the prayer department. On Wednesday, the evangelism department. Thursday is the men’s and women’s movement. Friday is the security department and on Saturday we expressed this program with young people and especially with children. In short, this second week, we rejoice because the work has been well done and we give thanks to God‘, explained the Reverend.
According to the regional coordinator of evangelization and mission of Haut-Ogooué Sud, Roland Makiesse, for these two weeks, we count in the four zones, concerning the churches and the annexes, of Mounana, Bakoumba, Sucaf, and Moanda, 112 people deployed in the field, 435 brochures distributed, 804 invitation tickets deployed, 186 favorable decisions, that is to say the souls who gave themselves to Christ, and all the people mobilized who listened to the gospel stands at 1241 people.
‘’It is a grace and a source of pride, because Jesus Christ is master of these two weeks. Compared to the past deadline, God has done great things beyond what we did last year’‘, noted the coordinator.
As a reminder, after the first two weeks dedicated to Prayer and Caring, this third week, which began on Monday May 15, is focused on Sharing. Also, throughout this week the men and women of God will manifest sharing, by sharing the good news, testimony, food kits, sharing God’s love, visiting people and special mobilization on social networks.
