“Alpine A110 Pikes Peak: Unveiled in Final Livery for the Famous American Hill Climb”

The Alpine A110 Pikes Peak is here, in the flesh! The Norman firm has unveiled the first real images of its mount, which will face the famous American hill climb on June 25, in Colorado. Dressed in its final livery, the A110 Pikes Peak is finally revealed in the light of day, before flying to the United States this Monday.

Designed and built in the Signatech workshops in Bourges (Cher), the car completed its first laps in Lurcy-Lévis (Allier) at the end of April, before carrying out two days of testing at the Col de la Chaudière (Drôme ) then in Val Thorens (Savoie) in May. Despite the snow that fell on the high alpine altitudes last Saturday, the A110 Pikes Peak gave satisfaction to the clan of Philippe Sinault, under the supervision of technical director Lionel Chevalier.

And “must see” for Alpine

To swallow the 19.93 kilometers of climb and the 156 bends of the mythical hill climb, the Alpine A110 Pikes Peak – designed on the basis of the A110 GT4 Evo – has been lightened to 950 kilograms and the power of the engine 4 1.8L cylinders pushing 500 horsepower. Driven by Raphaël Astier, winner of the 2022 FIA R-GT Cup with the A110 Rally and four times at the start of the American event, the Alpine A110 Pikes Peak should be entered in the Time Attack 1 category, subject to approval.

“Pikes Peak is an unmissable motorsport eventunderlines Philippe Sinault, CEO of Signatech. We were all nourished by the iconic images of this ascent and this dream naturally made its way within our teams. (…) We want to register the name of Alpine on this event and this great first will allow us to position ourselves in relation to the competition noted in our category. Even if we are not aiming for the scratch, we know that we can count on a versatile and capable car with this event-specific Alpine A110 Pikes Peak. »
