12 year old boy in Karang Happy, Bekasi Regency, died in a traffic accident. Victim died after was hit by a bus of the Indonesian Army group.
“It’s true, in the handling of Pomdam Jaya together with the Bekasi Metro Police,” said the Head of the Indonesian Army Information Service Brigadier General Hamim Tohari when contacted, Wednesday (17/5/2023).
Hamim said the incident occurred on Tuesday (16/5), around 07.00 WIB. At that time the victim QA (12) was driving from north to south on Jalan Raya Cikarang-Sukatani with his mother with the initial A as a passenger.
Arriving at the crime scene, they wanted overtake another motorbike who was carrying a wagon load of porridge.
“Trying to overtake the vehicle in front of him was a Honda motorbike number B-6547-FVK driven by Brother Y, who at that time was carrying a load of porridge carts from the right,” said Hamim.
The victim and his mother failed to overtake because they collided with the porridge cart and fell. The QA victim was knocked over and collided with a TNI bus driven by Serka BW who was traveling in the same lane.
“However, when overtaking, there was a collision between the left handlebar of the motorcycle driven by Sister A and the pulp cart part of the motorcycle driven by Brother Y which caused Sister A to lose control and fall to the left. However, the passenger, Sister QA, was thrown to the right. and hit the left rear tire of the TNI Noreg 2055-44 bus driven by Serka BW who was driving from the same direction at that time,” he explained.
As a result, the QA victim died at the scene. While his mother A suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
“As a result of the traffic accident, Sister QA, aged 12, died at the scene and Sister A was injured and was taken to Cenka Hospital,” he concluded.
