“The Perfect Combo: Romance and Science in ‘The Crush of the Moment'”

Ali is one of the authors that I will read without even checking the summary. Why read it when I know I’m going to LOVE it? This novel is hilarious, stressful and above all it is heartwarming, and you come out of this book with a big smile. The scientific aspect is very interesting, with the geek side of Bee, the feminist issues and the enemies-to-lovers relationship: it’s the perfect combination.
The story is told from the point of view of Bee, a young woman fan of Marie Curie. Bee doesn’t want animals (they die) much less a romantic relationship (people leave): reasons to get your heart broken.
Our hero is Levi Ward, a grumpy engineer who’s hated Bee since college, but is he really?
When Bee and Levi are chosen to lead a project at NASA, our story begins…
