LuxUrban Hotels to Operate Historic Hotel 57 in Midtown Manhattan in the Second Semester

LuxUrban Hotels signed a 25-year lease to operate Hotel 57 in midtown Manhattan, located in a historic building. The hotel company expects to start in the second quarter of 2023.

Hotel 57 will carry the LuxUrban Ultra brand, with a 204-room four-star property. A building located in the exclusive sector of New York City, close to the shops of Fifth Avenue, Central Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center.

This property enters the LuxUrban portfolio as one of the best, said Brian Ferdinand, president and CEO of LuxUrban Hotels. Likewise, he commented that this new operation joins the Condor Hotel in Brooklyn that will start on July 1.

With these two hotels, LuxUrban will complete eight hotels in New York City. “Hotel growth comes at an opportune time, as business and leisure travel in New York City is increasing and getting closer to pre-pandemic levels,” Ferdinand said.

as reported REPORTUR.us, IHG Hotels & Resorts will open the second Kimpton Hotel in New York City this fall, with 15 stories and 364 rooms, including five suites, a 1,100-square-foot penthouse. (NY: IHG will open the Kimpton Hotel Theta in the Theater District.)

This Kimpton Hotel Theta will offer the Midtown West neighborhood a fresh and unexpected Midtown experience. A hotel will serve as an oasis for guests who want to work, rest and play, said Mike DeFrino, general manager of Americas luxury and lifestyle at IHG Hotels & Resorts.
