Not so long ago, EMPRESS hacker managed to hack Denuvo in a remake Resident Evil 4. On this occasion, the network decided to check how the FPS has changed in the hacked version of the game compared to the licensed one (in which the official DRM protection is installed).
There has long been an opinion among gamers that Denuvo can significantly affect the decrease in FPS in certain games. However, judging by the video, the Resident Evil 4 remake is not the case.
In most scenes, the frame rate in both versions is approximately the same. Sometimes the advantage goes to a hacked Resident Evil 4, but in most cases, according to the author, the performance is still higher in a game with active Denuvo protection.
In the video, the game was tested at maximum graphics settings at a resolution of 1440p. Here is the hardware used: NVIDIA RTX 3080, Intel Core i7-6950X and 32 GB DDR4.
