THURSDAY JUNE 15, 2023 – 8 PM
Every June 15 we celebrate Andean Song Day, distinguishing the music created in the mountains as an ancestral and genuine testimony, a symbol of national identity and an educational instrument for socialization. To the rhythm of quenas, zampoñas, horns, bass drums, flutes and chagchas, the Conjunto Andino Amazónico, directed by Edgar Espinoza, will offer a synthesis of diverse musical expressions through the interpretation of compilations, arrangements and creations executed from the investigation, experimentation and evaluation of the musical traditions of Peru.
