The Miami Grand Prix is a party, not only because of all the spectacle that Formula 1 itself is, but also because of the number of artists, athletes and influencers who attend. This environment has caused various security incidents on the circuit, which has generated concern and discomfort among drivers, journalists and teams.
During the grid formation, the organization of the Grand Prix created a VIP area for the celebrities who attended the event, such as Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon, Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and Twitter, as well as actors, singers and athletes, such as Roger Federer.
One of the incidents involved the three-time world champion, Jackie Stewart, whose security tried to remove him from the aforementioned area, when he tried to approach tennis player Roger Federer. After the incident, the Scottish pilot, who at the time pouted, pointed out that they were “just doing their job.”

But the real role in the “bad incidents” with the security of the sporting event, took him Ralph Schumacher and Jenson Button, Formula 1 champion, who also presented complications with the personnel.

Schumacher, brother of seven-time champion Michael, works as an expert for the Sky Germany media outlet and recalled the incident, where he also mentioned Button and the poor coordination of the motorsport event.
The former F1 driver also assured that security cordoned off a special area with ropes for the team leaders to meet, a situation he welcomed. However, he remembered that the worst was to come later. “They pushed me brutally, which hurt me a lot,” he denounced.
On the other hand, he expressed that during the mistreatment, he was also scratched, so his skin was marked. Given the situation, he demanded an apology from the organizers of the sporting event. “But it’s much more important that something like this doesn’t happen again,” he said.
In his column for Sky Sports he also spoke of the ordeal witnessed by Jenson Button, who tried to get through the roped-off area for team managers and was stopped in an unpleasant way. “Someone from Formula 1 had to apologize to him,” he said.
Schumacher did not hide his annoyance and assured that the security managed by the United States is completely disproportionate. “They don’t know the sport and they don’t know how interaction works in Formula 1,” he said.
Schumacher’s brush with security came hours after the incident with Stewart. The German, at the time of being beaten, assured during the live broadcast that the security agents “were idiots.”
Before concluding, he highlighted the great problem that Formula 1 poses in the Miami circuit. He affirmed that it is the first time that such a problem has occurred in the 20 years that he has been close to the automobile event.
