Before the home game against SC Reute, Jrg Klausmann, the coach of the district league club SG Simonswald/Obersimonswald, had blindly signed the result of 4:4. Immediately after the final whistle, however, it felt like defeat. “Bitter after a top team performance against the second in the table,” said Klausmann. “Reute took the lead very early on, but then we took matters into our own hands and created better chances.” His team repeatedly made individual mistakes that invited the opponent to score more goals. “But we showed good morale and made it 4-3 just before the end of the game – and conceded 4-4 when the final whistle blew.” SG goalkeeper Hannes Heitzmann and substitute Mario Hess fought an aerial duel and Hess was hit; Guest captain Benjamin Bierer converted the following penalty in added time.
