Honda presented an interesting project for Europe, which adds another electric vehicle to the brand’s range, but this time to the two-wheeled portfolio of the Japanese. It’s the new EM1 e:Scooter, which debuts as the brand’s first such vehicle for Europe. The electric scooter will be available from next year, and in 2025 it will be sold on the global market.
The scooter has one electric motor that generates 2.3 horsepower or even 1.2 horsepower in economy mode, which is enough for a maximum speed of 45 km/h. The maximum torque is 50 newton meters and, typical of an electric vehicle, it is available from the start, which can give you an advantage over the “biggers” at the traffic lights.
The 50-volt battery is good for a range of 41 kilometers, which Honda says is about 10 kilometers more than the average mileage of students in the city. One of the advantages of the scooter is the removable battery, which allows you to quickly remove it and charge it or replace it with a new one. Charging from 25 to 75% takes less than three hours, and charging from 0 to 100% takes about six hours.
