Singer Noa Kirel landed Monday morning at Ben Gurion airport, accompanied by her parents and members of the Israeli delegation, concluding her Eurovision adventure with a very nice third place. “It’s good to come home after a long time. What’s more, to come back with a great sense of pride,” she told fans and reporters who came to greet her at the airport.
“We did it, we passed and came in third place, which is beyond my expectations and very honorable,” the singer continued. “Beyond that, I had the privilege and honor of representing Israel on the biggest stage in the world. It was a crazy experience that I will never forget in my life. There is no greater pleasure than to return to Israel and receive all this love,” she added.
“For two weeks, the people of Israel have always been behind me, it’s the most incredible feeling in the world. It’s the most exciting and wonderful thing I’ve done: to raise the flag, to represent my country. I have tears in my eyes every time,” she continued, moved.
Noa Kirel then praised the Swedish winner Loreen, even assuring that it was one of the best songs in the history of Eurovision, feeling very happy to have finished after her. “If I had been told a year ago that I would do Eurovision, I would have laughed. And then people took my picture, shouted my name, it’s an unimaginable feeling. This third place is the result of that love and hard work,” she concluded.
