It was created on May 9, 2023, by the Federation of Gabonese Companies (FEG), to train and retrain administrators and build their capacities.
The main objective of the Feg is to promote good governance within the Boards of Directors of companies in Gabon. Henri Claude Oyima, President of the FEG, explained that: “ the IGA is a forum for interaction. It is a prolific framework open to all directors or future companies, from all sectors, with the ambition of promoting excellence through training and support for its members on the principles of good governance. Through the IGA, we intend to place directors at the center of company management and offer them a privileged framework ».
Indeed, during the launch ceremony, the administrators present benefited from two training sessions led by Bakari Traoré, Vice-President of the National Institute of Administrations of Côte d’Ivoire, and Etienne Nsie, associate professor in law private at Omar Bongo University (UOB). A partnership agreement will be signed between the two Institutes to support the IGA in its development and the implementation of a certification program for member administrators in 2023. We learn on the Gabon Actu website .
To benefit from the training offered by the IGA, you must be a member and pay a subscription of 1 million per year. Membership fees give access, among other things, to a network of administrators, training and a certificate that could allow appointment to an administrative position, we learn. Therefore, during the launch of this body, the president of the Federation of Gabonese companies invited business leaders, administrators, senior executives and managers in charge of corporate governance within organizations to join the IGA. .
