“Migrant Worker Drowns in Koodaranji, Kozhikode: Bharat Mahila’s Tragic Death at Poovaran Thot Hydroelectric Project”

Kozhikode ∙ Guest worker drowned in Koodaranji. Bharat Mahila (46), a native of Jharkhand, who had come to work in the Poovaran Thot hydroelectric project, fell and drowned in the Poilinga river. At 2 o’clock in the afternoon, when 3 workers went to lay a pipe in the project area, they slipped and fell into the water.

Bharat’s body was recovered by the scuba diving team of Mukkam Agni Raksha Sena. Tiruvambadi Block Youth Brigadier and volunteers participated in the rescue operation.
