“ACM Awards 2023 Fashion: Best and Worst Outfits of the Night”

The Academy of Country Music Awards was held on May 14th, 2023, and the stars brought their A-game to the black carpet. Some celebrities opted for classic ensembles, while others pushed the boundaries and experimented with bold choices.

Nicole Kidman surprised fashion enthusiasts with her appearance in a dark red pantsuit from Chanel. While the suit may not have been impressive from afar, it had some dazzling details up close. The pantsuit was adorned with intricate embellishments, which added a touch of glamour to the outfit.

Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany Aldean, stood out in a sea of casual attire with her fiery red spaghetti strap number. The dress included plenty of fun feathers, and the side slit showcased her decision to pair the dress with strappy silver sandals.

Lainey Wilson’s outfit was a mess of green, with a wrap top gone wrong and cape-like sleeves. However, upon closer inspection, the top had a halter-style crop with jeweled embellishments located along the shoulders. She completed the ensemble with an embellished hat.

Ed Sheeran showed up in a much too casual attire, wearing a white tee, black jeans, sneakers, and a green collared jacket. However, Carly Pearce picked peach for the ACM Awards night, arriving in a strapless design with a thigh-high slit with ruching at the hips. Pearce rocked a vibrant peachy shade that we loved, but the neon orange eyeshadow wasn’t meeting expectations.

The biggest surprise was Jo Dee Messina’s attire, which was too casual for the event. She wore a combination of white jeans, a black tee, and a black leather jacket, which was significantly underwhelming compared to other celebrities’ outfits.

Gabby Barrett’s black confection wasn’t conventional, but it made a statement on the black carpet. The gown included spaghetti straps and oversized detached sleeves that added drama to the outfit.

Caylee Hammack, on the other hand, brought a dash of hot pink to the black carpet with a dreamy tiered design with dramatic puffy pleated sleeves. Tyler Hubbard and his wife Hayley Hubbard both looked stunning in the blush hue.

Ashley McBryde kept things simple and classic in the sleeveless black frock, which showed off some skin and tattoos with that thigh-high slit. Livvy Dunne showcased how fabulous silver gowns can look in a slinky halter-style gown with cut-outs and a thigh-high center slit.

Trisha Yearwood embraced red leopard print on the ACM Awards night, donning a long-sleeved midi-length dress and accessorized with chunky black sandals that complemented the animal print motif.

Dolly Parton was surprisingly seen in a shimmery velvet jumpsuit complete with long sleeves and shoulder pads. The jumpsuit had fringe and embellishments that paired well with peep-toe pumps.

Brandy Clark’s attire was hard to understand, but it was ultimately a cropped black blazer with gold embellishments over a white blouse and cropped vest. However, the braided ropes around her neck made her outfit haphazard.

Chase Rice embodied the cowboy look in a white cowboy hat, white tee, black suede jacket, black jeans, and brown cowboy boots. Mickey Guyton opted for a pinstripe silvery sequined pantsuit with velvet lapels, but the pairing with a silver bralette made it feel more costume-like than couture.

Kimberly Perry made her baby bump debut in a black minidress with a fun cape-detail, while Tenille Townes’ shimmery bold blue pantsuit was paired with a tiny crop top that felt like an odd choice. Finally, MacKenzie Porter brought high fashion to the country carpets with her electric-blue pick—an elaborate jumpsuit with intricate cutouts topped with a glamorous cape—all in a sequined bright blue fabric.

In conclusion, the ACM Awards night was a fantastic affair with celebrities donning their best attire. From classic black frocks to colorful gowns, everyone added their unique touch to the black carpet.
