The Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Firas Al-Abyad, affirmed that “during nurses’ day, we must stand by them and support them in order to stay in the country to meet the needs of citizens.”
In an interview with “Voice of Lebanon”, he added: “They work in harsh working conditions, so health workers must be preserved.”
For his part, the head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Dr. Bilal Abdullah, said: “The unified unified contract with the Ministry of Labor must be matured, and pressure must be put on hospitals to give this segment its right, and to end discrimination between the private and public sectors, and the nursing system is the complement to medical care.”
