Germany will support Ukraine militarily with an arms package worth 2.7 billion euros. It is the largest support package to date.

“We all hope for a speedy end to this terrible and illegal war,” the German defense ministry said in a statement. “Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem close yet. That’s why Germany is providing all possible help, as long as it is necessary.”
Ukrainian presidential adviser Andriy Yermak thanks Germany for support. President Volodymyr Zelensky may visit Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Saturday after a trip to Italy.
