Our students successfully participated in the Balkan Mathematics Olympiad

On May 8-13, 2023, the 40th Balkan Mathematics Olympiad was organized in Antalya, Turkey. According to the information given to SIA by the Ministry, our team, represented by 6 schoolchildren, performed successfully in the mentioned competition and won 2 medals and 3 motivational awards, including 1 silver and 1 bronze.

Thus, Jalil Huseynov, a student of the 11th grade of the physics, mathematics and informatics oriented high school under the Ministry of Science and Education, won a silver medal, and Fidan Garayeva, a student of the 11th grade of the same high school, won a bronze medal.

Said Bakirov, Omar Gadimli, 10th grade students of physics, mathematics and informatics oriented high school, and Telman Mammadov, 10th grade student of Turkey Dayanat Foundation Baku Turkish High School, were awarded the motivational certificate of the Olympiad.

It should be noted that since 2007, our students participating in the Balkan Mathematics Olympiad have won a total of 1 gold, 17 silver and 36 bronze medals.
