“Mask Singer: Alien and Witch Unmasked, Kangaroo Joins the Competition”

TELEVISION – Two new beginnings in Mask Singer. The Alien and the Witch were unmasked on Friday May 12 in the TF1 show where personalities sing and dance in costumes while a group of investigators, the show’s jurors, must guess who is hiding under each disguise.

Surprise of the evening, a Carnivorous Plant has appeared. This English-speaking star was automatically put on waivers and managed to save his place against the Alien. If Jeff Panacloc, Michèle Bernier and Élodie Frégé are still hesitant about his identity, Kev Adams has activated his golden prediction and has had confirmation of the name of the personality hidden under the costume.

As a reminder, the golden prono allows a juror to activate his kabuki (confetti cannon) if he is convinced of having found the identity of one of the characters. The investigator must write the name he is thinking of in an envelope entrusted to a bailiff, who will check whether the prognosis is correct. If so, the juror earns five points. Otherwise, he loses this power for the rest of the season.

A Kangaroo will join the competition

It was therefore the Alien who had to remove his mask first: it was Adeline Toniutti, the singer and coach of Star Academy season 10. His identity was in no doubt for the jurors, who had already mentioned her name. For his part, Jeff Panacloc already knew who was hiding under the costume since he had activated his golden prediction during a previous episode.

Among the clues that put investigators and the public on Adeline Toniutti’s trail: an opera (she is an opera singer), a mustache (she paid homage to Freddie Mercury during a tour) and the evocation of an emergency intervention to repair it (in reference to a badly installed chimney which burned his vocal cords).

A little later in the evening, it was the witch who unmasked herself. Unsurprisingly for the investigators who recognized her, the singer Zaho (It’s weird, turn the page) was hiding under this costume. Several elements put the jury and the public on the track, in particular the fact that she had to leave her native country (Algeria) as a child for a cold country (Canada), or even a Las Vegas sign since she was there worked with Celine Dion.

This week, the Husky was not in the game as he won the golden ticket, which allowed him to join the quarter-finals directly. In addition to the Husky and the Carnivorous Plant, the Medusa, the Camel, and the Deer are still in the running. They will also join next week a new international star in the guise of a Kangaroo.
