The municipality of Langenneufnach primarily invests in construction and commercial areas. What exactly is planned.
In the current budget, during the recent meeting of the municipal council Langenneufnach was decided, the municipal councils have planned most of the money for building and commercial areas. 100,000 euros for this year and 1.1 million euros for next year are in the budget for the development of the already planned building area west of Wörishofer Straße II.
The community also has to dig deep into their pockets for the planned Talaueweg, which is intended to better connect the western and eastern parts of the town for pedestrians and cyclists. For this year, the municipality calculates costs of 100,000 euros, but additional costs of 600,000 euros will be incurred next year. Other planned expenses are the construction of a photovoltaic system at the school with 150,000 euros and construction measures for rainwater retention in the amount of 120,000 euros less 50,000 euros in subsidies.
Langenneufnach has to take out a loan of one million euros
The municipality was happy about the high trade tax revenue in 2021, but this had an impact on the calculation of the district levy. The municipality had to pay 1.35 million euros to the district and at the same time this led to the loss of the source of income from the key allocation. The trade tax revenue that the municipality expects this year has also fallen by EUR 900,000. The municipality calculates that the sale of residential building land will generate income of 250,000 euros.
In order to be able to finance the planned investments, the municipality has to take out a loan of over one million euros. Because the target surplus from the previous year in the amount of 750,000 euros must essentially be used to balance the administrative budget. As a result, the municipality’s debt level rose to just under three million euros at the end of the year.
Opening times in the St. Martin children’s home are subject to change
Another topic of the meeting was the opening hours of the children’s home St. Martin. As there is hardly any demand from parents for the long childcare hours up to 6 p.m., the councilors unanimously decided to set the opening hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from autumn. Thus, the staff can also be relieved.
The municipal council then dealt with the traffic situation at the children’s home. Pedestrians are endangered by stopping so-called parent taxis in front of the entrance area. The councils discussed establishing a parking ban, which has already been discussed with the police. Council member Albert Rohrer finally suggested extending the red marking on the asphalt that was already in place for pedestrians, to indicate that this area in front of the entrance may also only be used by pedestrians. The council approved this proposal.
Finally, the councils rejected the application for the erection of a two-meter-high privacy fence with a length of about 14 meters on a residential property. According to the development plan, the fences must not be higher than 1.20 meters.
