“2023 Caribbean Sailing Championship Concludes with Exciting Regatta Series and Award Ceremony at Cartagena Fishing Club”

Y came the day. The 2023 Caribbean Sailing Championship comes to an end today with the completion of its last valid in what the II Series of Saturday Regattas refers to.

The final regatta will have the skippers’ meeting at 11 am, while the start is scheduled for one in the afternoon.

The award ceremony, coordinated by the Cartagena Fishing Club, through its Sailing Committee, will start at five in the afternoon.

In the closing ceremony, prizes will be awarded to the winning boats in the Regatta +1, Cruise +1 and Category -1 categories.

The previous weekend, in the penultimate regatta, the Magic Bus crew was the winner in the Regatta Category +1, followed by Frizonia Bye Luby and Navarrete.

The fight for the title in this category is hot. The leader is Sue with 12 points, followed closely by Satori with 15 and Magic Bus with 16.

In the last regatta, anything can happen.

In the +1 cruiser category, the fastest was ARC Antares, escorted by ARC Comodoro.

This category is led by Breakaway with a total of 12 points, followed by ARC Antares with 15 and ARC Comodoro with 20.

For its part, Oh La La took the honors in the -1 category with a great display at sea on Saturday. In second place came Arak and third was Celtic Wind.

In this category, the leader is Oh La La with 25 points, followed by Celtic Wind with 29 and Arak with 30.

Surely there will be a titanic fight in the waters of the Caribbean Sea and more specifically in the Bay of Cartagena.

There are some categories in which there is nothing defined and anyone can take the title.

Thus, the Cartagena Fishing Club lowers the curtain with two series of regattas that have been exciting due to the high level of competition among the participating crews.

The goal of the sailors is to finish on the podium and win the best prizes in an unforgettable 2023 sailing season.
