The police in Finnmark state on Twitter that the vehicle was measured to have driven at 86 kilometers per hour in a signposted 60 zone. This led to the confiscation of the driver’s license, and the man was also reported for the offence.
If the speeding offense is up to 25 kilometers per hour in a 60-zone (or lower), the penalty is a simplified fine of NOK 12,100.
As the speedometer showed 26 kilometers over the legal speed limit, the man in his 50s became a pedestrian on the spot and was reported by the police.
