Offenbach – The 32nd matchday is coming up in the Regionalliga Südwest and Kickers Offenbach has to go away. On Saturday (May 13th) at 3 p.m. in the Bruchweg Stadium, the game will take on FSV Mainz 05 II.
OFC is a guest in Mainz
For Kickers Offenbach, the season has been over for a few weeks and we need to collect ourselves in order to make a new attack on promotion to the 3rd division in the coming season. The OFC managers will have a lot to do during the summer break to put together a powerful team that can play up front.
The OFC recently had to accept a 0:2 home defeat against TSV Steinbach Haiger. With 49 points, OFC, coached by Alfred Kaminski, is bottom of the table before the game at the Bruchweg Stadium. The U23s of 1. FSV Mainz 05 lost 1-0 at KSV Hessen Kassel last matchday and are tenth in the table with 42 points.
The two teams drew 1-1 in the first half of the season. Dominik Wanner scored the equalizer for OFC in November last year in front of 5,691 spectators on the Bieberer Berg.
OFC wants victory in Mainz
OFC player Maik Vetter hopes for a win at the Rheinhessen: “We plan to overcome the setbacks in the games as a team and to react completely differently. We have to act completely differently on the pitch as a unit, as a community, and hopefully we will do so in Mainz.” Alfred Kaminski, head coach at Kickers Offenbach, calls for a strong performance from his team in the away game at FSB Mainz 05 II: “We had a good week of training, are well prepared and want to see business cards.”
The game at FSV Mainz 05 is the third to last of the current regional league season. After the Mainz game, OFC is still up against Bahlinger SC and on the final day away at Eintracht Trier. (smr)
