The Historic Tour, the historic French circuit championship, is casually approaching ten years of existence. The ninth edition of the Historic Tour started on the Dijon-Prenois circuit (Côte-d’Or), an essential route since the creation of the championship. A few weeks after a Grand Prix de France Historique which kept all its promises on the Paul-Ricard circuit (Var), the teams of Laurent Vallery-Masson welcomed a hell of a cohort of three hundred and sixteen drivers spread over the nineteen races of the weekend.

The Burgundian meeting was an opportunity to observe the few novelties brought to the grids. First of all, it is no longer two, but four FFSA French Championships which will constitute the red thread of the season with as many national titles to be awarded at the end of the year. If the French single-seater/prototype Championship remains unchanged (with the F3 Classic, the F. Renault, the F. Ford and the SportProtosCup), that of the GT/Tourism is split in two: the pre-1990 cars on one side (
