It was earlier clarified that Sri Leela will be the heroine in the film. It is reported that ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ is a remake of the 2016 film ‘Theri’ starring Vijay. There is no official confirmation in this regard. The film ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ will be produced by Maitri Movie Makers.

Pawan Kalyan’s latest film is ‘Bhimla Nayak’. ‘Bheemla Nayak’ was a Telugu remake of the Malayalam superhit film Ayyappan and Koshy. The movie ‘Bhimla Nayak’ is directed by Sagar K Chandra. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi. Produced under the banner of Sitara Entertainments. The dialogues are written by Trivikram Srinivas. While Pawan Kalyan played Biju Menon’s character ‘Ayyappan Nair’ in the film, Rana Daggubati played the role of Prithviraj. Nithya Menon played the heroine of Pawan Kalyan in the film. Ravi K Chandran has done the cinematography and Thaman has composed the music for the film. The action choreography of the film is by Ram Laxman. While ‘Ayyappanum Koshi’ directed by Sachi was an equally important film for both the title characters, Pawan Kalyan’s character was more important in Telugu.
