Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno admitted that he wanted to return to fighting together with his old friends at PKS. Plt Ketum PPP Muhammad Mardiono admitted that he had no problem if Sandiaga wanted to join PKS.
“It’s not a problem, PKS is also visiting PPP one day before Eid. PPP is the elder brother of PKS and other parties,” said Mardiono at the KPU RI office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday (12/5/2023).
Meanwhile, the Head of DPP PP Achmad Baidowi or Awiek questioned Sandiaga’s seriousness in joining PPP. This is because Awiek believes that PPP has never delayed Sandiaga joining PPP.
“We’ve never stuck around. We’ve opened up. Yes, Mr. Sandi. Is it true or not you are serious about joining PPP? That’s right. Yesterday you sent other color codes to other places. At PPP, send other color codes ,” said Awiek.
Therefore, according to him, let the public judge Sandiaga’s seriousness in wanting to join PPP. Awiek emphasized that PPP is always open if Sandiaga wants to join.
“But yes, everyone will let the public judge. And we PPP are fully open, if he wants to join, go ahead. Moreover, Pak Sandi is a great figure, a national figure,” he said.
Awiek himself admitted that he did not know why Sandiaga had not joined PPP until now. However, Awiek and PPP will not force Sandiaga to join them.
“Regarding whether to join or not, that’s a person’s political right. We can’t force it, for example, ‘Hey, you join me, if you don’t watch out, it’s impossible. Yes, we leave everything to Pak Sandi, who has political rights, if you want please join. PPP is just open,” he said.
Previously, Sandiaga Uno was predicted to join PPP, now praising his old PKS friends. The former Gerindra cadre even expressed his wish to return to fighting together with his old friends at PKS.
