Emirai will update the firmware of FiiO’s USB DAC built-in headphone amplifiers “Q11” and “Q7” with the aim of improving quality. Updates are free.
The Q7 adds secondary distortion adjustment items, a screen rotation function, an automatic power saving function, and a knob control function. Automatic power saving has a standard idle time of 30 minutes and can be turned off from the settings menu. The knob control function can set the direction of the scroll knob menu cursor.
In addition, the addition of the PEQ function (supported only in Bluetooth mode) and minor bug fixes. In addition to the main body firmware, the Q7 also provides XMOS firmware, and it is necessary to update both. The software version is XMOS 1.0.9 and the firmware is V1.1.
The XMOS firmware can be downloaded from the product support page, and the main firmware can be updated via the smartphone application “FiiO Control”.
Q11 will have UAC1.0 features and bug fixes. The firmware version is V0.13 and can be downloaded from the product support page.
