“W9 Celebrates 30th Anniversary of Cult Program ‘Dance Machine’ with Ophélie Winter”

TELEVISION – A dive of a few hours in the 1990s. The W9 channel will offer this Sunday, May 28 in prime time a special program to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dance Machine.

Launched on October 2, 1993, this program has been the meeting place for popular artists for almost 15 years, mixing concerts and interviews.

For the anniversary show, W9 called on the person who presented Dance Machine many times at the time: Ophélie Winter, model and singer known for her songs God gave me faith or Shame on You.

The show was recorded at the end of 2022 at the Dôme de Paris, and the artist says he is particularly “Happy to be able to present this evening event”, as you can see in his tweet below:

A breath of nostalgia

For this anniversary, W9 invited stars of the time: “The artists who marked the show responded present […] to interpret, in front of the public, their greatest hits”, explains the chain in a press release. This is particularly the case with Corona (The Rythm of the Night), Dr. Alban (Sing Hallelujah), Billy Crawford (Trackin‘) or the French RnB group Poetic Lover (Let’s take our time).

To top it all, “many archive images will punctuate the show and immerse you in the most striking moments of the Dance Machine. »

Rather discreet for a few years, Ophélie Winter returns to the front of the stage after a long crossing of the desert.
