Jakarta –
The Toyota Vios has just been preening in Vietnam. Even so, the appearance of the Vios facelift in Vietnam is different from those sold in Indonesia.
Toyota has launched the fourth generation Vios in a number of ASEAN countries. However, the third generation Vios is still being sold in Vietnam. Recently, the third generation Vios in Vietnam was made over with a variety of new changes.
Reported by Paultan, on May 10 2023, Toyota launched the new Vios in Vietnam. There are three new Vios variants offered to consumers, namely E MT, E CVT and G CVT.
The changes can be seen from the front, namely the bumper which looks aggressive and is inspired by the hammerhead shark. The change in the front bumper is combined with the narrowed headlights like a boomerang. Turning to the rear, no significant changes have been made. The design of the taillights has not changed compared to the previous model. But the reflector is slightly changed.
Likewise on the inside, not many changes have been made. AC settings are still done manually. For the E MT variant, rear passengers can also now use a power socket for USB Type-C. The seats are still covered in fabric material. The brand-new Vios in Vietnam still carries the same dashboard design. Regarding features, the Vios headlamps already carry LED projectors. Vios also uses 15-inch alloy wheels.
From the safety side, there are three airbags (including the driver’s knee), rear camera, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control and Hill Start Assist.
Continuing on the E CVT, the features are at a more sophisticated level, namely the automatic LED headlamp, leather-coated steering wheel and the Optitron cluster instrument. Meanwhile, the G CVT has a 4.2-inch MID screen, paddle shift, automatic air conditioning, keyless entry and engine start, cruise control and 7 airbags. There is also a 9-inch touch head unit that has been integrated into Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Especially for the G CVT variant, it is also equipped with Toyota Safety Sense.
In Vietnam, this new Vios is being sold starting at 479 million Vietnamese dong or if converted to the equivalent of IDR 300 million to the most expensive IDR 371 million.
