(CNN) More than 70 storms were reported across the United States on Wednesday as a new round of strong storms brought reports of tornadoes, large hail and damaging wind gusts.
So far there have been 11 tornadoes, seven of them in Colorado and two in Kansas and Arkansas.
So far, there have been more than 20 reports of damaging wind gusts. Here are the notable gusty wind reports:
Selden, Kansas: 130 mph Clayton, New Mexico: 114 mph Dix, Nesbraska: 107 mph Colby, Kansas: 100 mph
More than 45 reports of large hail were recorded, with more than 10 reports of hail with diameters greater than two inches. Here are some of the notable hail reports:
Gary, Colorado: 10 centimeters Akron, Colorado: 7.6 centimeters Woodrow, Colorado: 7.6 centimeters Wray, Colorado: 7 centimeters
All tornado watches and most severe thunderstorm watches have expired.
The threat was upgraded to a flood threat, in which more than 3 million people are under flood watches in parts of the Rocky Mountains, Central Plains, and Lower Mississippi River Valley. There is a moderate risk of excessive precipitation, level 3 of 4, for parts of Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
