“Managing IT Processes and Administration: The Responsibilities of the Senate Chancellery’s Unit Z-4”

The Unit Z-4 “IT-Affairs” is responsible for the organisation, control and management of ITprocesses and the system administration of the IT in the Senate Chancellery and the local offices. In addition to supporting and looking after the users, the procurement of hardware and software as well as licenses is also one of the tasks of the employees.

Further responsibilities lie in IT-Controlling and participation in interdepartmental bodies and committees for the development, planning and implementation of IT-Strategy of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and thus serve the internal strategic orientation.

In addition, internal training courses on topics such as data protection or dealing with MS Office programs offered.
