GDRFA’s Smart Security Lab Honored with Silver Medal at Geneva Inventions Exhibition

DUBAI: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has been honored at the 48th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. The Department’s state-of-the-art innovation, the Smart Security Lab, has received a Silver Medal in Invention. The ‘Smart Security Lab’ made a remarkable contribution to the fair with more than 825 exhibitors from the government, private and academic sectors presenting more than a thousand inventions.

First Lieutenant Khalaf Rashid Al Ghaith, Head of the Innovation Division, and Undersecretary Amar Saeed Al Jabri, Head of the Creators Care Branch, presented security plans aimed at reducing risks and detecting lawbreakers at the fair. The exhibition jury appreciated GDRFA’s commitment to innovation and praised its innovative projects and active participation. Along with that, he received two certificates and four gold medals from King Abdulaziz University and Scientific Foundation of Portugal for his inventions “Smart Security Lab” and Proactive Index System for Monitoring Violators.

GDRFA’s achievements at the 48th Geneva International Exhibition demonstrate the department’s dedication to developing cutting-edge technologies that help safeguard security. Chief Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ahmed Al Marri said that GDRFA secured a good position in the international innovation index by making great contributions through innovations, new ideas and inventions.
