The Egyptian media mentioned, in its episode that dealt with the Wafaa Makki crisis, that the late artist Ahmed Ratib was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended due to false testimony.
It seems that the crisis of the Egyptian actress Wafaa Makki, and her return to the scene and reappearance after an absence for many years, will not be limited to her only, but that other parties will enter into it.
This is what happened after the daughter of the late artist, Ahmed Ratib, announced her great anger, with a threat and promise because of the mention of her late father’s name in this case.
Lamia Ahmed Ratib wrote on her Facebook account that the Egyptian media, Reham Saeed, mentioned in her episode that dealt with the Wafaa Makki crisis, that the late artist Ahmed Ratib was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended due to perjury in the Wafaa Makki case.
Lamia Ahmed asked Reham Saeed and the producers of her television program to prove this matter with evidence, and she gave them only 48 hours for that, and if they could not prove this matter, they must retract what was mentioned in the episode.
And she confirmed that if Reham Saeed did not do one of the two things, then she, a representative of the late artist’s heirs, would file a defamation lawsuit against the media, and described her statement as “falsified and despicable, and there is no person who would satisfy his deceased father.”
The daughter of the late artist revealed that her father had no relationship in any way with the artist, Wafaa Makki, at the time, and was following the course of the case through what was published in newspapers, like the rest of the Egyptian people.
