“Prosecutor Sorin Lia detained on corruption charges by Craiova Court of Appeal”

Prosecutor Sorin Lia – who was at the head of an association of prosecutors that fought against the mutilation of justice laws – was detained on Wednesday by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Craiova Court of Appeal, and will be taken to court with a proposed arrest, sources told HotNews.ro judicial.

According to the cited sources, the prosecutor, detained, among other things, for crimes similar to acts of corruption, would be taken to the Craiova Court of Appeal on Thursday with a proposal for preventive arrest for 30 days.

A police officer from the Corabia Road Bureau was also detained with him.

Prosecutor Sorin Lia was co-president of the Justice Initiative Association. He headed the Prosecutor’s Office of Corabia Court, where he still works.
