“Guerrilla Games Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Record Sales Numbers for the Horizon Franchise”

Departing from a developer known for giving birth to Killzone – a franchise that had wanted to be positioned as “Halo” for the Playstation, which at that time really needed competitors as a system seller, became a developer who is now capable of concocting open-world action games with interesting RPG elements. Through the concept of a post post-apocalyptic world where the world is now improving with the help of machines in the form of dinosaurs and animals in various angles, Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West end up getting a special place, especially for the Playstation ecosystem. The good news? It is also supported by fantastic sales figures.

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Guerrilla Games shares new data regarding the Horizon franchise that they have worked on for the last few years. Overall, the Horizon franchise has sold around 32.7 million copies, including downloads from the Playstation Plus and PC versions. Of these figures, the newest series – Horizon Forbidden West contributed around 8.4 million copies. Together with this data, Guerrilla Games reaffirms and confirms a new series for Horizon, whose name is still mysterious.
