According to the Security Bureau, one more person seeking help from job hunting scams from a Southeast Asian country has returned to Hong Kong safely. A total of 22 help-seekers have returned to Hong Kong under the coordination of the Special Team of the Security Bureau.
The Bureau said that after the Hong Kong resident sought help from the Immigration Department’s “Assisting Hong Kong Residents Abroad”, he went to the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the relevant public security units in Yunnan Province, and Hong Kong and Macau affairs. With the assistance of the Office, the task force of the Security Bureau and the Economic and Trade Office of the Special Administrative Region Government in Guangdong, he returned to Hong Kong safely from Myanmar via the Mainland today.
